Confirmation of the presence of Progomphus integer (Odonata: Gomphidae) in the Dominican Republic
##plugins.themes.bootstrap3.article.main##
Abstract
Progomphus integer is one of four species of Gomphidae endemic to the Greater Antilles, reported for the Dominican Republic in references from the last Century. Recently, some authors suggested that the presence of this species in Hispaniola was doubtful, based on the lack of specific locality records. In this paper, we confirm the presence of the species in the Dominican Republic. Moreover, we provide the first specific localities with some notes of the habitats on which the species was collected.
